The National Security Sector at Leidos is hiring for a Deputy Program Manager to help lead the day-to-day operations for a program supporting a government customer. This program is focused on research, development, integration, and operationalization of an expanding state-of-the-art technology stack supporting agency needs. As the Deputy Program Manager (DPM), you oversee delivery execution, achieve customer satisfaction, and lead a team in a complex and interconnected environment. This position is contingent upon contract award.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform duties under the strategic and operational vision of the Program Manager. You will work closely with Task leads, architects, systems engineers, software and data engineers, and data scientists.
  • Assist the Program Manager as needed, focused on identifying and supporting internal and external dependencies.
  • Responsible for the successful cost, schedule, and performance of the contract.
  • Work closely with third parties (e.g. other contractors, other stakeholders) to facilitate integrated mission support.
  • Coordinates with government customers across multiple task areas in a multi-stakeholder environment, understands customer’s technical needs.
  • Develops and maintains program management documentation, including, Service Asset and Configuration management, Change management, IT Service Continuity management, Capacity management, Availability management, and Service Level management documentation.
  • Attend design sessions and provide programmatic input considering program priorities and product roadmap.
  • Support Task leads overseeing the resolution of technical and management issues that adversely impact successful product delivery.

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with 10 plus years in software development, technology management, system engineering or related field. Eight plus years of experience with master’s degree.
  • Management of large, complex teams. Ability to work inclusively with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work, and establish positive customer relationships in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution.

Favorable if you have:

  • PMP or equivalent certification

Pay Range:Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
